| dan_t - From England to Maple Ridge
Hey Guys & Gals, just thought I'd introduce myself!
My name is Dan, I'm 25 (26 next week) and I've just moved from England UK to Maple Ridge. I've been a petrol head for the last 10 years and appreciate all sorts of vehicles be it Import or Domestic etc!
I was a Fuel Injection Tuner/Mapper back in England working on everything from the grunty TPI Chevy's to screaming Nissan Skyline RB's. I always tuned my own cars and it grew from there at first with friends and then phone calls from out of the blue!
I'm currently driving a 1985 Corvette (Its on a slow boat at the moment!) with a 383 (6.3) Small block running a 90's Fuel Injection system with aftermarket heads & cam etc.
Previous cars include a Honda CRX, A handfull of Civics, S14 Silvia's (x4 I really like these and the SR20 is an awesome engine!), Toyta Starlet GT Turbo and a big fat VIP'ed Lexus LS400...
Very much into the JDM/Drift Scene as well as GT Racing
As I'm new to the area I'm keen to meet some like minded people and find out what really goes on over here! It seems quiet?? or just well hidden?
Hoping to pick up a Cheap-Cheap Toyota Cressida that needs some work maybe! We didn't have these in England but look like they could be some fun!?
Dan
EDIT: Some pics of my old cars

Welcome how come you have never owned a Escort Cosworth? Most of us over here would have killed for one of those
Berz out.

Dan | Welcome to RS! come out to our next meet, whenever the hell they plan it.
Head to craigslist. There's a few Cressidas kicking around right now.

Ahh the old Escort Cozy! Never had a chance - a half decent one will make crazy money and the rest aren't worth having. I'd have rathered the Serria Cozy I think?
My Partner is lived over here for many years before we met in England. Her parents still live over here in Port Moody. Just had the opportunity to come over (with there support!) so here we are!
Good job I'm used to this rain eh?!

How annoying that the adds don't get removed. I had one that I was going to go and see, called the guy at like 10 in the evening said I'd be over at 8 in the morning and he managed to sell it inbetween! SOOO annoyed. You have to be quick with Craigslist I see!!
Ended up getting an S-10 Blazer for the moment, was cheap and needed some a bit of work - just waiting on some parts to arrive if the bloody postman ever comes!! It'll make an OK family wagon I think.

Welcome! I almost made the exact opposite move (from here to England), though to go to school over there.
Looks like you've had some pretty nice looking cars in the past. However, dump that 90's FI crap out of the C4. You'll find some much better, and far more reliable systems over here. I can help point you in the right direction for older 'Vette stuff if you ever need something.

give it some time... cressidas pop up on craigslist all the time.. majority of them under 1000.
if you're really into older toyotas, join Dori kaze. lots of locals running around with ae86's and a couple of old toyotas here and there.
yes, my car is running the factory USDM ecu.. and running a apexi VAFC (air fuel controller) thats it. i know the car could use a tune pretty bad... running 1mm extra bore and higher comp with factory map.. its not good.
