Are they all the same? I'm a car noob.

Cancelled my insurance awhile ago and now got it insured again for winter. Lost all the screws. FML. This is for a 01 limited 4Runner

They're not that special just make sure the one you get is big enough... as with all screws. You might find something around the house that will suffice

They might not even be screws though. They might be 6mm bolts.

Depends on the car. No they are NOT always the same. For example, my car actually has predrilled sleeves that go into the trunk panel. The wrong thread type/pitch would mess things up pretty badly and result in an expensive repair. My car uses bolts in the rear and screws in the front.

Actually I WOULD go to the dealer. They'll probably let you have 'em for free since they'll have a pile kicking around.

The ones you find at hardware stores can rust. I would take caution prior to making a purchase.

if you don't know the size screw you need and don't want to mess up the threads, you can just ziptie it if there's something you could loop the tie around. it's only for the winter anyways right?
