Hi guys

I am using shaw webmail as my main email at home. I am planning to switch to Telus soon. May I know what is the best way to move all my current email to my hotmail account for good.

Please kindly advise ASAP.

There isn't a painless way to do this really.

What I did was going through a transitional stage of 3 month from my shaw to Gmail (change important emails like bills, work, fleebay... etc). At the end of leaving shaw, I took the inbox on outlook and sent an email for change of address to every single address on.

I then transfer the shaw address to my friend's shaw account to catch whatever I left out. I think I still got about 20~30 emails during a 2 month period. But then it was getting nth but spam. At that point I finally pull the plug and terminated that email for good.

Switch to gmail, not hotmail, and don't even think about using the new telus webmail that they give you.

As for moving your email (not addresses), I don't think there is an easy way to move them unless you setup a filter on your current messages, and forward them all to your new gmail address.

Agree with the others... migrate to Gmail instead. Hotmail licks.

I think it should be simple to import all your existing Shaw emails to Gmail.

In the Gmail settings, I think you should be able to configure the details of your Shaw account, and Gmail will download all the emails from Shaw.

Right. If you've only used webmail to access shaw email this should work fine. Goto your gmail account and setup pop access to your shaw account. It will then go and download all the emails into your gmail account.
