i would need a 40inch monitor and have sit about 5 feet away. seems like a useless tool that will never catch on. touch screen is probly the way of the future

thats... pretty close you have to sit... not to mention your arms would get tired pretty fast...

do you have to be that close when playing it on the xbox 360?

Actually for Xbox they want you at least 6 feet away. 10 feet is better, even.

Windows 7 is not good for touch or kinect. An OS has to built from the ground of for this.

I have 2 touch screen AIO comps. One running XP the other running Win7 and both still need a Keyboard and mouse to do some things.

You just need the proper interface, no need to write a whole new OS. My carputer that's been installed since 2004 is touchscreen and it's been running Server 2003 since I built it. I've never had to use a keyboard. Of course you never see the Windows interface, all you ever see is Centrafuse.

I'd like to see more development on this, it's far from finished but at least it shows it can be done. I'm interested in seeing how I can incorporate it into my next carputer. Navigating the system with the wave of a hand is better than having to look for a button while driving. I'd never have to reach for the touch screen again

When your running a custom application to do only a few certain things it can work great. Mine does with the software I'm using. But running Windows OS and multiple applications it's doesn't work that well. Windows and all applications need to optimized for touch screen use.
