I was trying to sell my amuse R1000 exhaust on 370z forum a while ago.
Finally, someone REALLY wants to buy it.
I want to ask you guys since I'm sure quite a few of you guys might have heard
me going down the street around Vancouver and Richmond area...
Not sure if I should let it go... I love the sound of the exhaust once it is above
2000rpm, below that, not so much...
Plus, I hate the waking up the entire neighborhood part at 4 am after poker
night at my friend's house.
here's one video with the exhaust on...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtepmu6W1vc
skip to 30 seconds for those of you without patience. :D
Thanks in advance for your input.

Shoulda made this decision a while ago, when you first wanted to sell it. Now that "FINALLY" there's an interested buyer you dont know what to do? Fuck that shits annoying.
It sounds good though. I'd keep it.

yes.. wiping the mirror is that important...
reminds me of our working days.. where we will just stand in the parkin lot...
wait for customers while wiping down our cars with a damp cloth for 8 hours =.=

haha, this exhaust is so loud. I remember a cop pulled up behind us one time at horseshoe bay, Akuma had to stuff his shoe into his exhaust to silence the sound when he started up. I say keep it, sounds mean. You live in a condo, neighbors can't hear you!

It sounds fantastic, definitely one of the best sounding exhausts I have ever heard.
If I were in your position I'd keep it, but if being nervous about waking up neighbors affects your enjoyment of the car, switch it out for something quieter.

I definitely love the sound of exhaust.
Many people suggested putting silencer,
however I was told by amuse that use of silencer is strongly not recommended as the material of the exhaust is 100% titanium while the material of most of the silencers are something else. Therefore, they have different thermal expanding characteristic that might cause the silencer to expand more while titanium barely expand, cracking the exhaust (amuse said).
I'm leaning towards keeping it now since everyone says "keep it"
lol
maybe some more input please?
Thanks everyone.

I had the exhaust up for sale since summer and noone really was interested since most of Z owners are RICERS that care about the LOOK of their car (knowing that this exhaust is single exit).
so I decided to put it back on, then someone wants to buy it.
I'm thinking if it is worth the hassel to take it off and sell it lol
lol I thought you sold it already :lol
If I were you, I would get something a lil more DD-friendly since you DD your car.
But that's just me... I want my car to be a lil stealthy. ;)

The question is, what are you getting if you were to sell this? Nothing beats this single exit piece in terms of performance and sound though.

if ur a bit annoyed now, in a year u wont be able to stand it. so if its really so hard to find a buyer then sell it i guess. i dunno what ur really looking for with this thread lol

so let me get this straight:
you didnt like the exhaust a year ago and put it up for sale.
you finally find a buyer and still are not completely satisfied with the exhaust.
Now you dont know if you should sell it?
If I were the buyer i would give you a big fuuu
finding buyers for used parts if very hit and miss. Don't waste this opportunity to get an exhaust that really suits your needs. Sell this and get something that is quieter or risk putting up with this for years to come/having to give it away for cheap once its outdated and you cant stand it anymore.
The question is, what are you getting if you were to sell this? Nothing beats this single exit piece in terms of performance and sound though.
Let's convince him to get the Greddy SE as well :troll:

No offence, but I think most Z owners aren't ricers; they're just smart not to drop $2000 on an exhaust.

I think most Z owners are ricers, BECAUSE
1. most of them don't have balls to actually race their cars in any form of race such as drag race, circuit race, autoX.
2. bodykit + stickers
3. blacked out headlight and taillights + LED's
not saying all of them are... but quite a lot of them are....
and I dropped $1800 into the exhaust just because I had extra cash in my hand back when I bought it... and I don't regret spending that money as I enjoyed it and I'm selling it for right price now.
Thanks for your input
95% of people don't buy their cars with the intention of racing them so I wouldn't call them ricers. Stickers and general hard parkers are though.
I'd sell the exhaust. It sounds good, but getting hassled by the police isn't fun. If your neighbours haven't complained, it doesn't necessarily mean it hasn't affected them either. If they haven't been woken up by your exhaust yet, they eventually will be, and if it happens often enough they'll definitely complain so save yourself some trouble by selling it now.

That thing is too loud for sure! I always buy the quietest exhausts when choosing something!

I love the exhaust, its definitely a bit too loud, and attracts the popos when you are in richmond.
Absolutely nothing wrong dropping $2g+ on exhaust , hell you gotta pay to play. Ask anyone, titanium exhaust is NOT CHEAP, im rocking one myself as well. They are 1/3 the weight compare to stock ones.
ANy euro exhausts ranges from $2000-6000 depending if you want stainless or titanium. I dont know why anyone would be shocked how much they cost. Not like 335/m3 exhausts are cheap anyway
