My ps3 does not know when a disc is inserted into the drive.
Anyone know a trusted place to get a dead laser replaced?
Found a few places on craigslist but unsure which one to go to.

+1, my drive stopped recognizing discs today :(

step 1) do the software checks, it doesn't fix very many but it's worth a shot.
step 2) DIY, it's really quite easy (main thing is to be sure there's no disk in the drive before disassembly) to replace the laser, order one off ebay, should run you about $70 shipped + a couple bucks for tools.
