Group holiday dinner restaurant suggestions?

I'm looking to plan a "semi fancy" group dinner with 8-12 people around the holidays, and am looking for restaurant suggestions.
Nothing too fancy ($20-$30 average entree) but at the same time nothing too casual (i.e. no jeans and graphic t-shirts). Preferably somewhere Downtown.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I don't know if Milestones is considered "too casual" by your standards, but my friends and I went to the one at 1210 Denman Street last year for a girl's birthday, and we had a blast.
If you guys can brave the cold, it's right by the water which can be gorgeous at night on a clear day, and it's also right beside Stanley park if you guys plan on driving.
Or if you prefer to be Downtown downtown there's one on 1145 Robson Street as well.

Thanks, but not really interested in chain restaurants.

Places like Azia and Goldfish should be able to handle groups your size.

Anyone else have any more suggestions? Around the $15-30 range.
Preferably in the Burnaby / Vancouver area...without going to Richmond or downtown.
