Well my brother bought HID's for his 7thgen civic cause stocks just aren't bright enough.

Was wondering if anyone was willing to help him install them cause me and him tried and it was a pita. Driver side light is hard to take out cause of PS resovoir aand washer fluid tank is like inches away from the clip. So anyone willing to help pretty please :):D

you might have to take off the bumper

you have to remove those, they slide off giving you a bit more room to work with.. then you need to zip-strap the ballasts.

you can pull the ps resevoir up off the thing easily and put it away for some needed sapce.

and the washer fluid neck should be twist removable too.

What ferrarienzo said is correct, you might need to remove bumper for more room. I just ordered my HIDS hopefully they turnout sick :)

Its not much more difficult to install HIDs than it is to change a burnt out bulb.

Move the PS pump reservoir, remove the existing bulb, replace it with an HID bulb, hook up connectors, zap strap the wires and mount the ballasts. Double sided tape is a good method for the mounting ballasts and many people mount them on the inside of their bumper on 7thgens.

7th gen is the latest gen right? I believe u need to use the wheel wells to access the bulbs, no need to remove bumper etcetc.

We did move over the PS Pump reservoir and the washer fluid is just like right beside the clip to remove the bulb. It's a damn tight fit in there can barely fit my hand nor my brothers. Is there a DIY guide or could someone help us in their free time or something?

And no 7th gen isn't the latest gen its the 2001-2005 models

Look in the owners manual, dude. It has instructions on how to remove the bulbs.

I would come help you, but I need to get an essay finished tonight. Seriously, the pas side should be easy and on the drivers side the PS pump just lifts out.

Are you pushing down on the release tab, because its sorta clipped on..

gloors

Yeah I am pushing the release tab :\ Gah pita.. I'll tell my brother to go look at the owners manual. Thanks for the help so far guys

So you have no problem blinding other drivers at night, so long as what..you look cool? Or you have "brighter" headlights?

You must have no grasp on the concept of shame. You and your brother are tools.

Twist the bulb and take it out of the socket first, then you'll have a lot more room to work with.

Did I say.. "OH look at me I like blinding other drivers yay for me!" No. I don't even drive that much at night time so what does it matter to you?

Oh, well in that case, that changes everything! You don't drive "that much" at night. Wow, I am so sorry about the misunderstanding. Not only are you a tool, you're an idiot too! Only an idiot would use that as an argument. "I don't even drive that much at night!".

Listen, you're not going to get any sympathy from people here about you and your ricer lights. You're putting others at an inconvenience for your own selfish gains. Get your head checked.

I sure hope you're not part of the same group who cry foul when they're stopped by the cops and handed a VI. "Oh poor me im just a ricer that keeps getitng picked on by cops those powertripping pigs".

Not trying to get into the middle of this, but..

HIDs can blind other drivers, and if the other driver happens to be a cop you'll get a ticket and a VI. Installing a set of projectors to focus the light will not diminish output, and they cost about the same as the inevitable ticket.

I'll be sure to use my keys if it's a white one that blinds me.

I do have aftermarket projectors for my car but I could care less if my brother was to get VI and a ticket.

remove the neck of the washer fluid bottle and then when you do you'l have more room to remove the head light, leave it in the housing and push the tab and wiggle, that way you have more leverage, should come out.

when it's the first bulb replacement, they're normally pretty damn tight.

but i love how these HID threads always turn into a bitch fest

There's no need for the hostility in this thread. Keep the thread clean please.

For the OP: you can ask your brother to get some halogen bulbs that produces higher luminosity than stock bulbs. That way, he can be a considerate driver (without blinding other drivers) and can save himself the hassle of getting tickets + VI in the future.

you always bring nothing but hate to every fucking thread. OP simply asked for help, he oviously doesnt care about VI and tickets and he sure in hell doesnt care that hes going to blind your faget ass.

OP, my bulbs come out the exact way.....once you take it out the first time it becomes so much easier after. i used a screwed driver with taped tip ( so it doesnt ruin the tab) to push the socket downwards and just pushed the tab with my hand.

Yea. I was totally out of line. I mean, cluing some guy in about how him and/or his brother is pissing off other drivers was totally out of line.

Please, you're the very definition of a "tool". Your "opinion" consists of the following steps:
1) read what's going on in a thread.
2) determine what the popular opinion is in that thread.
3) bandwagon with everybody else.

Of course you'll deny it. But that's OK. I don't need to convince you. You do a damn good job of convincing everybody else already.

Cheers.

You know, I was wondering what your obsession is what homosexuals and Robert Deniro. Then I realized it was because of my display picture.

LOL. So should I call you a "faget" for..what is that, Biggy in your display picture?

Sure, every 2nd car out there may have HIDs, but not nearly half of that percent are PnP kits; i.e. your argument makes no sense. PnP kits are what the topic is about. PnP kits are what blind a lot of drivers.

Oh, I have no problems with HIDs. Don't have a car that came with one? Get a retrofit. But throwing some cheapo kit into some headlights, then driving around screwing other drivers over while thinking your farts don't stink is totally misguided.

BTW, eurorsn, we can sit here all day and complain about all sorts of things. I'm sure you've complained about things here that not many people share the same thoughts about, but that didn't stop you, did it? Nor did it make your genuine complaints any less valid.
