| Looking for Snowboard Gear
Just wondering where you guys all go for your snowboard gear?
Mainly looking for apparel though.. any local places or online that offer good deals? Anything would help really, I know theres that boardroom shop in Vancouver.. but I have a feeling they have all upscale brands that cost alot. Looking simply for a jacket and pants that'll get me through the mountain.
Post your recommendations, thanks.

Don't cheap out on the pants. You'll be sitting in snow, so you want your pants to be as waterproof as you can get (15000 mm minimum, Gore-Tex + high DWR is ideal).
4th and Burrard has Boardroom (+ Boardroom Clearance), Pacific Boarder, Comor, Westbeach, Showcase, etc. SportChek and Atmosphere are worth a look. Also take a look at MEC. They have good gear. The outdoor stores around MEC would also be a good place to look (Valhalla Pure, Europe Bound, etc.)

one place that you should check out is Winners but you might have to look around for your size. Some prices are pretty good depending on the brand, but if you dont care about last year's model or design then you can go have a look.

You can try out Boardroom in Vancouver, they sell some pretty nice stuff and there's also a discount store right next to it where the out of season stuff is.

There is a store I've gotten a few jackets from, looks hella sketch inside and out and a trip into a time machine when you walk in. But the prices are reasonable for gore-tex http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&q=j...196.65,,1,0.87 |
