i hear these TDI engines are prone to oil leaks...is this true, and somewhat normal?

how reliable are these cars?

Those things are quite reliable. I have a friend who managed to put 300k km on his over 4 years.

hey don't really "leak" oil, they just burn them. It's Normal for the engines to burn oil. If you read the owner's manual, it will tell you it to add oil.

Half a litre to a litre per month is normal.
