Exterior wash at wash world is okay...if you're not satisfied complain and go thru the wash again lol.

whatever you do dont go to any places that do 20 or 25$ washes by superstore
they scratched my lexus mofos(2008).
next day they F-up my friends s4...

I would not trust anyone washing my car anymore unless its 100$+ wash wax and cut.

Again depending on your car, paint condition etc.. you get my drift

Thanks guys, I don't really want to risk going to a carwash that could possibly scratch my car. Sorry to hear about that merxus :P My limit would probably be around $50. Any other suggestions?

i only spend 6 dollar and i can wash it really clean.

i know this suggestion is not helpful, but honestly...

Do it yourself! Nothing beats a good old hand wash done by yourself. If the weather is making you scared then you can use warm water. In fact... its better to use warm water just make sure its not hot hot, and you put it on a super cool/frozen car or any glass. Wear gloves, stay warm. Moving around will keep you warm. I'm done with washing cars at places unless i'm paying for a pressure washer to just rinse off the car.

just go out to canadian tire and buy some nice car wash soap with some waxes in it, break out the gloves and the hose and wash it yourself. never hurts to buy the stuff once because it's gonna last you a long time (my dad invested in a pressure washer, it's proven it's worth over and over and over again)

not to mention things like shammys, nice quality soap, wash mitts/sponges, wheel acid, etc all last for really long periods of time if you're liberal with them

beats paying everytime to have your car washed anyday

I'd much rather wash the car myself as mentioned above cause that way I can make it look exactly how I like it to look, plus I will take the time out to get all the hard to reach spots.

But if you really want to get it done by other people, the Dog Wash place at Garden City does interior shampoo and vacuum, plus exterior wash for $25 + tax if I remember correctly. They did a pretty good job on my buddy's G6 and he has dirty socks + heavy smoke linger in his car.

i personally love the chevron touchless car washes. they actually get your car clean unlike those shitty ones at washworld.

husky sucks.... stingy on soap no matter which wash you pay for. chevron is okay if the equipment is working. i went once and a nozzle was plugged so i ended up with this unwashed horizontal strip all around my car LOL

any more info on this eco wash at bismark thing?

Years ago when I didn’t have a spot to wash my cars, I used to wait until late at night and visit my local “wand wash” spot. They are generally open 24 hours a day. They say no bucket wash, but late at night no one is going to stop you.

It’ll cost you few bucks, but very worth it. Washing your own car lets you know how its doing. Check for problem paint areas, or areas that need attention. Any damage you may have not noticed (dings and scrapes) can be found and addressed if needed.

If you are a car person, washing your own car is key.

but if you are washing at home and use a exterior waterline, make sure you drain your waterlines when you are done rinsing. You don't want the line to burst inside the wall. Wheel acids etc, won't work very well in this temperature. Just use a warm bucket of water to make some suds and use line water to hose off. Unless you have a heated garage that you can wash a car in, this time of the year is all about minimal cleaning and living off the work you had done in the fall (eg waxing your wheels etc).

i went thr before they were RS sponser (summer 2010), got ext./int cleaning (around $200), left obviouse spots on the inside i had to tell them to clean it up. even after that, they didn't do a good job (left dried ketchup spot on plastic)

wouldn't suggest ecowash @ bismark. it's a waterless car wash, and they basically use this eco stuff, spray it on the dirt, then use microfiber clothes and wipe it off. gets the car clean but is terrible for your paint since you're essentially rubbing the dirt into your paint. conventional methods are always the best ones

i went last week. pay for the $6 one.

tbh if your car is really really dirty (mine was) it won't get it clean at all. it will however give u a nice undercarriage wash and blast any salt away on your car exterior.

I didn't go complain to the attendant becuz i couldn't find one... but yea i guess u could complain and get another free one if you want it clean. I didn't bother looking for one, going thru touchless wash like these too many time will strip any wax/sealant i have on it anyhow

Kings auto spa beside superstore(there are two car wash places) will wash your car whenever you bring your car for 3months unlimited for only $160ish

just buy some optimum no rinse. i believe autowerkes sells it. it's relatively cheap and lasts pretty long.

all you need is a bucket and a wash media.

i fill up 3 gallons of warm water and some ONR. I can wash my car without a hose in my garage. it encapsules the dirt so your car doesn't get scratched. amazing stuff. i use it for washing, claying, and as a quick detailer.

you can use ONR pretty much anywhere.
