Telus Optik TV - Movie Channel Promo 3 months free!

Just an FYI, for all those that have Telus Optik TV.

They have a promo going on right now, if you order the " Movie Packs " it's 3 months free. I just got it because it's free and then cancel after.

http://www.telus.com/content/tv/opti...ming/index.jsp

I I got the Movie Pack 6 $ 20 and Super Channels $15.

Wasn't sure if this was the right forum to post, mods please move if not, sorry!

I called two weeks ago asking where my xbox was and (because I was told by the telus rep at oakridge that the xbox also works as a PVR) asked when they would send a technician to set it up

In return I found out the xbox = PVR was bs, so the guy is sending me a PVR now for free and gave me 3 months of movie channel.

If anyone is signing up for telus try pulling that xbox = pvr card haha

Yea xbox as pvr is bullshit the guys at the malls and door to door or cold calls are actually outsourced and they lie just to get people to sign up cause afterwards it becomes Telus problem.

Also only 3 xboxs can be used as tv sets and those are the pro, elite and new 250gb

Make sure you cancel before the three months are fully up or you will be charged for the fourth.

It is not obvious to everyone, the majority of people think it will be taken off after it is over automatically. Also you need to do it a couple days before to allow for processing time. Thanks for your useful post though.

I also heard that if you have the movie channels with the HBO package you get a bunch of VOD movies/shows for free.

Anyone try this?

if you have MC or SC and go to VOD

everything under MC and SC are free. you can confirm this because when you select it. it will say "confirm rental for 24 hours $: free"
