about damn time!!!!

Carole James has announced she will step down as B.C.'s NDP leader once an interim leader is chosen.

James, whose leadership was under attack by 13 MLAs, incuding Jenny Kwan — the longest-serving member of the NDP caucus — had scheduled an emergency caucus meeting Sunday to heal the rift in the party. That meeting was cancelled and James instead chose to resign rather than face the continuing dissent in the party.

James, who's been leader since 2003, has lost two elections. She announced she will continue to serve the party as an MLA.

I wander what Bill Vanderslammed is doing nowadays.

From Social Credit to NDP? When hell freezes over.......... or if there's an opportunity to show his pearly whites in public again. Such a political whore, that man.

Perhaps a new party will come out of all this shit. That would be nice.

About time, that's damn right. Hopefully the NDP has a somewhat better platform rather than "We will give bums free money!"

Finally..omg how stupid were they to even keep her this long, NDP was -never- going to even have a chance at a minority with her in the leadership, I wonder if the dummy actually finally came to that realization or when they had their little private meeting she realized how much dissention there actually was within the party and had to step down

What they need for a leader, is acutally not a lawyer.

Go get a economist as a leader, let him and his chief economist look at how BC does, and GO FROM THERE.

Then include all social programs and STOP FEEDING THE BUMS, DTES will never heal when every month there is a $600-1000 payment to bums on "welfare", "disability" and have rent paid for. When all they spend that money on is Drugs in a 48hour period and then go beg and aggressive panhandle our tourist and normal citizens.

If Kwan becomes the leader I have no doubt in my mind NDP will win the next election...
Way too many asians would just vote for her because of her last name...

On another note, we should just legalize marijuana.

An economist leading NDP... That's fucking rich :lol

If you want an economist leader, and a good BC economy, you want Gordon Camp... oh wait...
