Photography magazines

Just wondering which one you guys think gives the most informative pointers and neat news/product reviews

I went to superstore and found that there are actually a lot out there! First one I flipped through was digital photography and saw the $16 price tag which just left me with a raised eyebrow. Was only browsing the magazines for about 2-3 minutes so yeah...

How's popular photography?

Do you guys subscribe to any?

If you're not in any rush to get the latest issues, the library always has certain photo publications available to be borrowed. In richmond public library, i recall seeing outdoor photography, popular photography and photolife.

For pointers tho it would depend greatly on what you shoot.

i d/l a whole lot of photography pdfs online, if u search my posts you'll see the link i posted in the iphone4 thread. these include:

amateur photographer
american photo
china pictorial
D Photo
digital camera world
EOS magazine
Exposure
Layers
Master Photography
Photo techniques
PhotoPlus
Popular photography
Shutterbug
What digital camera
視覺 Lens

there isn't a specific one that has better pointers/reviews because they all describe things thinking you're an amateur. whether or not you can benefit from them has more to do with the level you're at right now. i.e. all their photoshop tutorials seem useful to me b/c i'm a total PS noob, but i have a ton of ebooks and kelbytraining stuff. the tutorials they show provide little more than what you can find online. the news they show are kind of outdated by the time it's in print if you frequent the internet. it's more interesting to see how they critique photos and how they answer the letters reader send.

I used to have Digital Photography while I was in the UK. it was so sad that I had to leave all my issues there, because I had waaay too much to bring back. There was so much interesting stuff in there, with simple tutorials for fun projects, as well as more advanced tips and stuff.

Digital Photography is a good magazine, my cousin gave me a box full of Digital Camera and that's not bad either. I find the UK magazines are better than the american ones
