I should have wrote about this on my Resource and Environmental Management final exam and showed the prof what's up.
I don't think the alligator died, it was just severely stunned.
I won't be surprise if the zap killed the alligator...
a split second zap is usually enough to stun a men....the alligator held on to the eel for so long...the result is probably like sticking your finger in the electric outlet and letting it shock you for a good minute or two. (and I think eel produce more than voltage than our 110v outlet)
