Anyone know a good custom jeweler in Vancouver?

Yes, I know there's a thread for the 'Where can I find...', but this a bit more... specific. I just need some place that has a solid reputation, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg, although I have absolutely no idea how much it would cost to get something designed in this country. I am assuming it will be substantially more than in Brazil, but oh well

Ideally a place that knows how to properly work with Yellow Gold / White Gold / Silver on the same piece.

Thanks!

Is the design something that can be put together from pre-made parts?

Any gem setting required?

What kind of jewelery is it?

Minichiello's on Robson is pretty good... hard to find because it's upstairs and not obvious... but I had something done there once and I know some of the Canucks go there too

Angkor jewellers in Burnaby on Hastings st,I have friends that had custom made chains and rings done by them, excellent quality work.

The craziest chain I have ever seen him make was for a friend of mine,it was white and yellow gold and weighed around 290 grams.

I used Minichiello's downtown to custom make my fiancee's engagement ring. They were excellent in every aspect. They were knowledgeable, but not snobby. They made suggestions, but weren't pushy. They had great quality (as far as I can tell), but didn't charge an arm and a leg. I will be going back there for our wedding bands, and would recommend them to any of my friends.

And the shwarma store below them smells so good...

On a serious note: San Marco makes some awesome stuff.

If you're looking for a diamond to go with your piece then here is a great place to go:

http://www.canadian-diamonds-wholesale.com/

I've purchased from them and have nothing but good things to say about the service and price.
