That was an interesting watch, didn't know I could use binary arithmetic like that.

Works like a charm. I feel 100% smarter.

how would you divide 100 divided by 3?

so remainders don't work?

That is kind of misleading as he was using whole numbers and a number that is easily doubled... being 25. Had that been a number that was odd like say 17 the number would not so easily have been doubled and would have required more thought to do the calculations.

Berz out.

^ very true. Although it's not the most efficient way to do multiplication it's still a very easy concept to comprehend to. I wonder what the math teachers would be like if a few elementary kids did this on tests and shit lol. Would they get marks off for not showing "work"..

yeah, just testing this myself, I already got stumped cause I gave myself a random question off the top of my head. 22x37...
double 37... I would have to make another binary chart to figure out 37x2 first and so forth :lol

So doubling 37 = 74, 148, 296, 592

The answer to my qusetion is 814... but adding the "circled numbers", 74 + 148 + 592
too a while to do own it's own.

Definitely not faster than the method we learnt in elementary school.

if u cant double a number like 17.. consider 3rd grade again.

100 / 3
1 3
2 6
4 12
8 24
16 48
32 96

96+3 = 99 > 1 is remainder
100/3=32+1=33 remainder 1
