It's my first year playing ice hockey and I'm using the Sherwood 5030 (CLASSIC!), but today I bought a Bauer Supreme One55 and it's pretty good.

What are you RSer's using?

used a bauer x60 for 3 months. p88 77 flex. great stick love the feel and weight however blade has crapped out on me(i like taking slapshots)

just got a total one p14(richards curve) 77 flex but cant comment on it yet since i got checked from behind into the boards 1st game using it. grade 2 shoulder separation fml

2 Bauer vapor x40's 67 flex (INT) 92 flex
1 Bauer vapor x60 87 flex

All with P88 blade pattern

Been using the INT 67 flex for all my games lately. I dont take many slap shots so i love it for the snap shots and quick wrist shots. Much easier to use the flex and achieve nice velocity.

I was using a One95 77 flex P92 curve. I loved this stick, but after 3 month, the stick no long has the flex and my slapshots are all fails.
New stick is a Totalone 77 flex P92 curve. Great stick for snap shots, not so much for my slappers, but I do use a short stick and I believe this stick has a low kick point.

Total ONE is a mid-kick stick, Bauer stiffened up the lower 1/3 of the stick compared to the ONE95 so it's heavier loading as well.

I'm using a pro stock Total ONE 82 flex and a BASE right now... I notice my shot is much more consistent and harder with the TO but I like the feel of the BASE when it comes to stick handling and passing.

Nice. I take a lot of slapshots and I notice that the TotalOne is a bit stiffer than the One95... Would you guys recommend the One95 over the TotalOne for now since it's probably a little bit cheaper?

Thanks.

3 - One95's 102flex Kane, and a 87flex Malkin.

I also have a few X60's 102flex Malkin's

There is already a hockey stick thread 10 pgs long lol

but... Currently using Easton S19 110 Sakic, switching pretty quick because the blade is starting to get weak. Probably same stick but with grip.

I guess I'll join in on this even though I'm a goalie.
I use a Bauer 1000, and a Sher-wood Featherlite 5030 SC goalie stick.

old school one95

i think its an 87 but chopped like an inch so prob like a 90 flex. forget what curve. too lazy to check. i dont like it tho.

for ppl who used to rock synergy's, its like a sakic curve but its def not a sakic.. miss that twig

You can get Sherwood 5030 in composite as well. OP is right, 5030's are classic. I've probably going through over a hundred over the years.. lol

i find the total one a lot stiffer as well, but i dont really like the one95 or totalone, i just can't load up as well as i do with low kick sticks like my x60 of dolomite.

my x60 is a 77 flex p92 cut about 2 inches
the dolomite is 75 draper curve(that's p92 in bauer or p3 in easton) flex cut about 1.5 inches.

absolutely love the x60 but the blade chipped a bit and is slowly dying, i'll probably still keep the shaft as i don't want to pay $300 for a new one.

if it's Sakic curve it's probably the Naslund/Backstrom curve P92. it's the closest thing Bauer has to it, although i find it practically identical.

I had a rough patch with sticks and went through a shitload in 2 months
they were:
2 Dolomites
2 Dolomite Spynes
1 one95
1 Stealth

currently I am using a 3rd Dolomite

if you're a righty i have that x60 in your specs for sale in the buy & sale section.
i actually prefer the total one over the x60. love the midkick. my slappers feel so effortless compared to low kicks such as s19 and x60.

old school one95

old school? they've only been around for a couple years.

as for me... i've used everything and have a ton of sticks, but the ones im using the most right now are: S19, Dolomite, One95. my favorite stick of all time was the synergy sl, followed closely by the original easton stealth.

Whatever you guys do, don't fucking buy the X50.

What a piece of shit stick for a mid-high end price. First broke cuz of a slapper and got it warrantied. Then the warrantied stick broke as well because of a slapper. None of the sticks had been submitted to any sort of abuse prior and were practically new.

I'm out some decent money. Should have just went with something better in the first place. Fuck.

ONE95 is still a great stick. If you can get it for a good deal I'd recommend it. I liked mine, not as much as my TO but if you're on a budget it'll take care of you for sure.

For OPS I'd go top end or nothing. They don't make wood sticks like they used to but I'd still take a top of the line wood over a price point OPS any day.

Maybe try something with a mid-kick or stiffer flex for your next one?

weird, my friend and i were talking about buying the x50, there's a decent deal on hockey monkey for them.

I don't really want a stiffer flex...I can't transfer enough power into my shots to take advantage of a stiffer flex. I like having a 77 cut down about an inch...which makes it around 80-ish. Feels good to me.

Don't take me wrong, I really enjoyed the X50 both times before it broke on me. I'd just warn anyone considering the stick to think twice, as it is quite fragile.

Perhaps I'll buy myself a one95....or considering a dolomite of some sort.

I ilke my dolomite, good stick, got it under $100 brand new, i dont' really like the blade on it though, but that goes for all of warriors blades.

i'm sure the x50 was a good stick, i love my x60.

didn't like the one95 though, just couldn't load up enough to get good shots.

I had a Vapor XXXX 2 years, ago that I got warrentied and they shipped me a X50 as a replacement. I used it quite a bit for drop in and such and found it pretty durable. I had a few one95's crack right on the bottom of the heel, but after a ton of use. I had a game 3 nights ago, and had my total one slashed in 2, and warranty expired 2 weeks ago :(
