I just bought a Telus BB 9700, unlocked it, inserted my Fido sim card in, after powering up the phone, it says i am on the Rogers Network now. Something I should be worried about?

Nope. Fido and Rogers use the same network so it's the same thing...you wont be charged any roaming fees
