EDINBURG — A fahter caught his 16-year-old son in bed with a naked woman more than twice his age who he hired to have sex.

Edinburg police responded to the 100 block of East Wells Street at 3:47 a.m. Friday to a call of an act of prostitution.

Police found the teenage boy's father, who said he found his son in bed with Dulce Liliana Nava Cardenas. Nava, 35, allegedly was naked and about to perform a sexual act, according to a criminal complaint.

The boy paid $150 to Nava for her to perform sexual favors, the complaint states.

After her arrest, Nava confessed to police that she accepted cash for the sexual favors and that she allowed the teen to touch her breast with his hands, the complaint states.

Nava was formally charged with indecency with a child and prostitution Friday afternoon in Edinburg Municipal Court. Bond was set at $2,000.

If convicted of indecency with a child, Nava could face up to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. Prostitution carries a maximum penalty of 180 days in jail and up to a $2,000 fine.

Nava was released from the Hidalgo County Jail early Monday morning.
