I give it 7/10

I thought this movie was going to be epic but the action was a bit weak compared to my expectations. Too much of a love story compared to full blown fighting.

i downloaded it and id give it a 6/10 it was really ho-hum for me too

but i'll definitely watch it when it finally gets out in theatres here (next week)

Fans of the comics might have something here but as someone that doesn't know the first thing about Thor, I didn't care about any of the characters and didn't think the plot was worth a damn either. Just boring all around.

watched it in the UltraAVX screen in metrotown, pretty good movie/theater experiance.

and like someone already said..stay till the end of the credit..the very end. a bunch of people left after the 1st set of credit ended.

it wasnt extremely 3d.. watch 2d and there wont be a huge difference.. i expected it to be more 3d :(

Let me clarify. Fans of Thor might have a good time here but I've always found Thor to be the most boring of the main Marvel franchises. Probably something to do with him being a god and that's just less interesting. Most superheroes start out as humans or they have some kind of crippling vunerability (e.g. Superman and Kryptonite). I haven't figured out what they do to make Thor look like he doesn't have cheats on or something.

I just couldn't care less about the characters. I didn't sympathize with anything that was at stake and the characters aren't very interesting. The movie is sort of funny and the action sequences are actually very well done but I left feeling like I had wasted my time. I love Natalie Portman in everything but there was no way I could be convinced she's an astrophysicist. People in that industry look like they're in The Big Bang Theory...not Black Swan. She's way too hot for this...Kat Denning was more like it.

If you're a fan of Thor and give a shit about Assguard or whatever, then you might enjoy this movie but I was very underwhelmed.

And if you're here for Natalie Portman, go watch a movie where she's there for more than a minute at a time or significant to the plot. Hell, she shows more skin in that shitty movie with Ashton Kutcher.
