: Sat GPS phones?

Just curious if there are any that you can plot gps coords in that are not on roads.. more like for hiking. Also does the satalite for gps means you can have some kinda signal if there is no cell tower signal? Or is that more a worldphone thing?

You should be able to get a signal everywhere for satellite based GPS. Cell towers is not related to it.

Right I have a 3gs therefore not used to having signal everywhere.

IPhone 3g and 3gs have full GPS chips. Cell reception is not necessary.

Ok sorry for the confusion, just hoping to find a phone that u can enter coords with and plot an off road course.

You would probably need some kind of 3rd party software/application to do that.
