I don't wanna sound like a dick but did you double check if you plugged the RCA cables in the right jack? Happened to me when I was setting up my uncles sound system, felt so stupid haha

Looking on toshibas website it only lists it as having digital audio out, i am assuming you are using analog cables since you mentioned RCA's.

Does your tv have an analog out ? I don't know if the ps3 will allow it but you may be able to plug the composite output into your wireless headphones and the HDMI to the tv.

Dont know what speakers you have, but if they only offer an analog input then yeah they won't work.

You need digital (toslink) to analog (composite).

Mono price is what you need.

Here is the same thing from amazon >Amazon.com: Digital Coax & Optical Toslink to Analog Audio Converter: Industrial & Scientific@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41lYAgvSI8L.@@AMEPARAM@@41lYAgvSI8L

But for over twice as much.

and here is one from deal extreme....

Monoprice is still cheaper and looks to be identical to both.

Should work because the tv should output the audio. If you wanted them hooked up separately you could use something like

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10423&cs_id=1042302&p_id=2946&seq=1&format=1#largeimage

Just incase you wanted to listen to a device with the tv turned off.
