Need to get a 2000 s-type jaguar serviced, engine light is on. Dealer charges an arm and a leg. Any shop to recommend?

the two jaguar service shops i've seen around are
1. XJ Motors, i think along W3 and fir...? it's near granville island for sure. always had plenty of XJs around and older jags so i know they service em

2. sovereign motors. they used to be on seymour in DT, but they moved.
i found one, http://sovereignmotors.ca/, but not sure if they are the same

Silk Cat Automotive in North Vancouver should be able to help out as well.

I've had good feedback from Silk Cat in North Van, I'd recommend them.

If you just need to buy parts, use Jagbits.com, they are fantastic.

ditto. Silk Cat

If north van is not convenient, there is XJ motors in vancouver that you could try... there is also Sovereign Motors, but i'm not sure if they are still in business.

Silk Cat bought my old XJ-S.
Good guys over there, from what I remember.

Another +1 for Silk Cat in North Vancouver

Also does Hesp in North Van work on jaguars? or only Land Rovers...

I also recommend Gold Wrench Automotives in North Vancouver. They handle all my maintenance needs.

They work on any make of vehicle. Whether its just basic maintenance or something large like an engine overhaul (they did on my bmw).

Great guys, service, and price.

also, just because a CEL is on, doesnt mean it needs to be at a jaguar specialist shop. Depends if the shop has the proper diagnostics tools to fix the problem.

Good luck!

XJ motors on 4th is a lot easier for me to get to. is it worth the hassle of going all the way to north van? I' min Richmond.
