China plans on building a $1.3 billion luxury hotel modeled on the Burj Khalifa, according to Arabian Business.
Officials said yesterday they have already completed planning for the seven-star hotel, which will be situated near Beijing's Tianamen Square. No word yet on the planned completion date or total height.



Wang Hongzhong, chief official of the Mentougou district, where the project is based, said that it had been designed as a “streamlined building like the Khalifa Tower in Dubai”.

The hotel will be situated at the end of Chang An avenue, which runs across the Chinese capital’s Tiananmen Square.

Thing is blueprints for this design already exist so I believe architecture fees are minimal. What it seems to me is that China uses a lot of what already exists and tries to enhance on it, a lot cheaper and safer than being creative, innovative, and original. Just look at Byd.

As I stated, I don't mind construction in big settelments to continue because we all know they are going to be absorbed into Israel in any future peace deal. But if you read that, I stated that I personally think that the small settlements should be under construction freeze and new ones shouldn't be allowed to form, since they will be dismantled under a peace negotiation.
