that is the whole pt....VW are going after Toyota and Honda volume, hence boring generic looks, lower price, chepaer materials, and solid rear axle...it is sad, but this is the new direction at VW. If you want something premium, buy an Audi.

I like the civic coupe, sorta looks like the accord coupe now. Not so sure about the sedan tough.

Also dont know what to think about the 2012 Hyundai Veloster, 2 doors in the passenger side and one of the drivers hmmmm.
