You can take out the iphone 4 battery too, I've done it it's actually pretty easy. That fake iPhone interface looks nowhere near as smooth. No appstore and no 3g pretty much defeats the purpose...

The fake iphones out there are easy to detect as long as you turn the phone on, people can easily tell it's not an iphone. This version however is claimed to be 99% alike, they even copied the IOS. Potential scam can happen if these people try to sell it on ebay or craiglist at original price.

Yeah, I checked one out before. Most pages don't won't work on the Internet, no new apps, and the speed is slower than my old 3G. For $100, you might just want to pay $50-80 more for a used 3G

External is easy to copy, i mean, other than build quality, it's not like we have apple holograms or anything, even packaging...

internals aren't that hard to copy either, but there's a reason China KIRFs are fake.. they're cheap.

it means the phone(real deal) was bought from market A and sold in market B.

so in other words, water phones = grey market phones.

Looks soo damn real... Its even funnier becuase were you put the sim card in a real iphone the fake one has the indent for the sim card in the plastic moulding.. But it doesnt pop out.. And the sim goes in the back of the phone once you pop off the battery cover.. software wise it looks exactly like the iphone but lags literally 5 seconds.. So u swipe then it takes 5 seconds for the display to acctually swipe...

you can't really translate "water" = grey market.

The term has evolved, and as such as a slang term, you'd never be able to nail it down. Go define the term "whatever". When I was growing up, it was "no", then it's "maybe", now it's become "sure..."
