Devastating flash floods are once again taking their toll on Australia. On Monday, the town of Toowoomba was slammed with a veritable wall of water after heavy rains hit the eastern portion of the country.
At least eight people were killed and 70 others were reported missing after the fast-moving waters swept through the town, picking up cars and sweeping away some houses, Australia's ABC News Service reported.
Widespread flooding across Queensland in recent weeks has driven hundreds of thousands of Australians from their homes.
Video of Monday's floodwaters show just how powerful they were.
