For domain, I've been using namespro and I've never ran into any problems. Whenever I needed custom support I'd receive excellent replies and they are always really helpful.

They are also a local company. http://www.namespro.ca

For hosting, I only use it for my photography portfolio and blog. I can't really afford to spend a lot of money so I've been using a service offered from an RFD member. He hosts sites on his servers for other members. Never really encountered any problems, and again this guy is extremely helpful when you need help.

If you don't want to use him, I've heard doteasy is ok too local based company again.

i use webhostingpad.com it's like $2 a month for unlimited bandwidth and pretty good storage space. Fast servers and rarely any downtime.

+1 for NamesPro.ca

I have the exact same setup. Been with Namespro.ca for over 5 years now and never had any issues.

I've never seen it this cheap before. $2/month is very hard to beat.

I got that beat. Stablehost. I have the plus package that comes in at $22 a year. Good for life. Lol. I got a 75% off promo code last year. They might have their 50% off deal still.

I honestly don't knw what those bad reviewers are talking about. I've been using webhosting pad for 2+ years. My site has been up 99% of the time. For the times it's been down, hacked, messed up on my part, I would send a tech ticket and would get a response within 2 hours at most 3, 24hrs a day. I've never talked to a live person on the phone, but with the speed and quality of their email/live chat tech I had no need to call in.

I didnt put my credit card on file but I have never been double charged from them. I would put a 1 time payment of how ever much money was for the selected term and I would get service for the term. They would send me an email reminder about a month prior to my expiry date to remind me to renew.

Honestly for a under $2 a month service, this provider has matched and exceeded some premium priced hosting.

This is my personal unbiased experience with them, however from the bad reviews being not even close to my real experience, it makes me think those writing the bad ones r a few disgruntled employees or similar...

oh btw I receive maybe 1 junk mail every month...
