Changing house numbers?

I'v tried googlin to no avail. My parents just bought a new house and they were wondering if its possible to change the address of the house. This is in vancouver btw. Thanks

They'd probably have to contact the city of Van directly and find out if the municipality allows it.

All I can say is that it is possible, cause my parents have done it. Although the selection is pretty limited to what the City allows.
Too bad it's not like in the UK - where you can have a house name.
Literally - I've met people who's houses are just named "The White Manor" or something random like that...
No street name or anything. I asked if they could change the name - they said it's as easy as going to the Post Office and filling out a form. BUT - they said it would be inappropriate to change the name of a house that might have been there for 200 years - just because you thought it would be cool...

You would have to contact the City of Vancouver in order to do this.

Like everyone else has mentioned, call the City of Vancouver.
I believe this would fall under the Planning Departments work, if not they would likely have a good idea who.

I've done it. Just go to City Hall and ask them. And it'll cost you I think it was $500-$600.
