Lost Traffic Violation ticket, lowered fine how to pay?

Hey RS, I got a ticket last year and I disputed it and went to court the next year. I was guilty, but the judge and police officer gave me a lowered fine.

The problem is I lost my original ticket, my court date paper has a ticket number on it so I'm wondering if I can use that number for them to pull up my ticket info, and will the info be updated with my reduced fine?

Also can I pay for it at ICBC? or do I have to go back to the courthouse?

(I forgot to ask the judge these questions when I was at court because I was in a rush)

Any court registry, ICBC Drivers Services or Autoplan agent. If you provide your drivers licence to them, they'll be able to look it up.

The ticket information should be loaded up into the ICBC system. If an broker agent cannot find the ticket, have them call ICBC, and they can find it in the system.

since you got the fine lowered i would wait awhile for it to be processed through the the system.

IIRC if you were found guilty, you will receive something in the mail stating how much you owe and when it's due. You can bring that into ICBC and pay when you receive that.

It is entered immediately after court. It will be in the system.

not always. I had a fine reduced once by the courts and it took a week to be processed. I went two days after my court date and it was still at the higher fine.

even if you end up paying for the "higher" fine, you will be credited the difference by a cheque in the mail.
