black chrome isnt a dipping process, its actually a paint from what i heard.

give panthers a call, i remember asking about this years ago and they said they can do it, otherwise you will have to go south, forgot the company name, but its located in Canton, OH.

Yah panther does it i sent them lots of black chrome wheels to do but its more pricey then the regular wheels.

Honestly its not a very common thing to do.. Best bet is too call all chromers and see if they know any referals. Knowing you, you have probably done that.. What about just over the boarder any vendors???

Shops like Ivers, Azzkicker, etc?

They obviously don't do this kind of thing in house, but they might be able to give you some vendors that can do it...

and yes i did call every where local include ppl in toronto and calgary, wheel shops and chroming place....seems like black chrome requires a completely different machine or method....some shows like sikindustries.com can do all sorts of colour chrome..but no BLACK CHROME....saids they don't have the machine.....makes me wonder

yes i did...they suggested Kool coat down the road from them...but kool coat is a heat coating place...not chrome...thats why i hate those reception ladies that picks up the phone at the shop to make appointments....they don't know sh*t

yes i have visted one chopper shop by CG...they suggested BROWNS...but they don't do black chrome

btw: i ditched the black chrome idea, and went to powder coating,
i have found KEY COATING in north vancouver to be very good at what they do, and the boss is great, showed me around and we talked about multiple possibilities
definitely recommend for u guys !!

also i got GOLD PLATING done across the street from KEY COATING called Specialty Plating
the guys there provides great service too !!!

wow...didn't expect such comments....
ghetto spray can dont work cuz they arn't dipped so it's not going to have that deep gloss in the chroming.
and they will flake after awhile or fade due to heat issues

and yes....spending money does make problem go away cuz if it can't do it...i'd get someone else to do it.

the reason why i suggest looking into the states is back a few years ago, i couldnt find anyone locally to do black chroming. my coworker however managed to find someone down in the states, and our first set that we sent down was a set of brabus rims.

ive been contemplating doing this to my 20s, as they are already in chrome, will eventually flake off, and so black chroming would add a nice touch
