USD needs to gets on its legs and not give me god damn on par cuz I have savings in USD

It's not all of Canada, it's usually the people of BC that get ripped off.

They teased us at 1.50 before now they're really gonna give it to us if not more.

prices in BC are generally higher because we have stiff carbon taxes included in the price of fuel

That 100 bucks covers 4 weeks worth of gas. If you live in richmond and rarely go out that is. Other than that it would prob last you 2 weeks tops on regular too. Anything higher its 1 and a half week?

Oil is over $90 a barrel, so gas prices will creep higher.

The increase in gas has cost me ~10% on ~$1500/yr, so $150 if this continues for an entire year. The resource funds in my portfolio are up $5K in the past few months. You do the math.

Thus if you want to protect yourself from higher gas prices, bet with them and invest. Bring on higher oil prices!

That isn't quite correct. If you're gonna compare it like that you need to calculate how much $100 covers for the difference in the gas price between us and provinces with no carbon tax.

I know this isn't the case on the west coast of the USA - but on the East Coast, there are a million toll highways and bridges. Their gas may be cheaper, but it costs a whole lot more to be driving on the roads. The tax on our gas helps pay to build and maintain our roads (Plus the transit tax, but that's a whole other box of worms)

Damn, that means chevron 94 will be like $2 or close enough.

We have no say to the price of gas. We can't just write a complaint about this, I wish it was that easy. They price it, we pay it. Use transit, ride a bike, buy a fuel efficient car or keep paying it.

I try to carpool and take transit when I seriously don't need to use the car.

sorry to bump this old thread but does anyone know if "husky" still has those coupons where u get $2 off gas or something? i Havent filled up there in a while so i'm just wondering. I tried looking them up but seems like there isnt any rescent ones.

Does any other gas companies have these sorts of coupons other than Husky?

I will be giving out thanks for anyone who has some insight on this issue.

Nope, no more Husky coupons, there haven't been in like a year. The year that they were available, I had a whole stack ready to go in my car filling up 25L at a time.

I usually get gas at Superstore now. 3.5c/L back in Superbucks, 1% back on my MC.
