Hello RS memebers,

I am in need of a acupuncturist. I was in a pretty bad MVA back in sept, which has left me with stiff muscles and a protrusion in my spine which is putting pressure on one of my nerve endings.

My pain specialist and Dr have told me to try out acupunture, but does anyone here know of someone who is great at what they do and have lots of experience. Im kinda uneasy with finding someone on the internet and letting them stab me in the back with multiple needles, and ive never had something like this done before.

so im kinda nervous... help

:)

I'd say acupunture is too invasion and I am not too fond of being stabbed then twisted with needles, especially by strangers I dun know I could trust ...

I'd recommend something mild just to relax your tightened muscles like massage therapy, or simply taking up some yoga classes, should avoid hot yoga thou, try classes more focus on deep breathing since you need lot of oxygen to relax your muscles

Ive been in this ICBC rehabilitation program for over a month, with physio treatments as well and shiatsu.. Nothing has been helping really, but we will see what this does, it doesnt hurt to try it..

Trusted by my family for over 15 years did my kneecap when I broke it twice, it is almost as good as it was before, also a regular in VGH and is a teacher of acupuncture in shanghai, also certified for both western and Chinese medicine. Some people might say it's not worth it, but acupuncture worked for me and I trust it now. So Im pretty sure he can help you too :)
