who caught this movie tonight?
jason statham's my favourite actor so this was a no brainer
ending was awesome IMO. in the original version of the movie steve successfully kills bishop, but bishop kills him in the same fashion that he did in the remake. glad the director decided to stray from the original for the ending though

whats the plot of the story?
whats the plot of the story?
professional assasin kills people (obviously). ends up killing one of his mentors as a job. mentor has a son. takes son under his wing, trains son how to kill and etc. they do a bunch of jobs together. son eventually finds out assasin killed his dad.
in original, son succesfully kills the assasin, however the assassin foresaw it and rigged a bomb to go off, in other words both end up dead
in remake, son thinks he kills assassins, viewers are not shown otherwise. assassin again foresaw it, rigs bomb to go off. son is killed, flashback is shown to assassin escaping before he was killed, while not being seen by son
quick cliffnotes. was a good movie, worth checking out for sure, especially if you love jason statham movies - barely a plot, shitloads of action

I never knew this was a remake.
I'm a Jason Statham fan. It don't particularly like his acting, but he's just got an aura of manliness to him. Man crush? :fullofwin:
Overall, I must say, it's a notch or 2 about the usual Statham fare.

Took my dad to see it cuz he was a huge Charles Bronson fan back in the day.....dad said that this was a really good remake of the original, however....by the way he told me how the original ended....i think i'd probably like the ending of the original better.
