I would say at least 3k-5k for good work. All depends on the material you want to use, MDF, laminate surface or real wood.

Yeah, i would say 3-5k if your not including the kitchen cabinets. If you do, then it will be over 10k easy. Anyone who can do custom work should be able to do it. Just ask for references and pictures of his previous work.

Next Spring, wow thats a long time haha, im guessing you bought the units closer to the train tracks?
Im liking it so far, the area is so convenient, everything you need is within a 5 minute drive. Neighbours are cool, mostly young couples and young families.

Just remember for the walkthrough before you move in, be as picky as you can. I managed to get them to replace 2 doors, touch up alot of walls, and fix some electrical problems with the 3 way switches that didnt work properly, I could fix it myself since im an electrician, but why bother when you payed for a brand new unit? Theyre just small things but saves you the hassle of taking time off work after you move in to have someone come in and fix it. Which floorplan did you get by the way?

Have you found anybody yet? My uncle and bro work with custom cabinets, they don't really work with real wood, it's far too expensive to get decent work in the lower mainland, they do mostly laminate and veneer. I don't think they rip off their customers, but it's not going to be dirt cheap either.

PM me with some photos and perhaps a similar concept that you're thinking and I'll have them get in touch.
