I thought you have to still pay your way onto a glider with air cadets.
If anything, beg for money when they want you to stand outside places to fundraise

Negatory. You can get your full private licence without paying a cent I believe...?

no, both glider and power flight is free, you just have to sign up for it.
in fact, if you go to the camps to get your license, you get paid $60/week "allowance" to do it
as for the asking for money shit. it's horrid i know, it sends the wrong message I know - but any other form of fundraising is a "nono" with pacific region (the governing body) so yeah...
government funding sucks. they only pay for transportation and facilities

Seriously debating buying this, my only hesitation is that it's only 15 minutes long.. would that be long enough for any real enjoyment?

Just go to any one of the flight schools on the lower mainland and get an "intro flight" thats longer, and in a real airplane, for a few bucks more. It'll be more worth it than 15 mins in an ultra light.
