How about using an iPod to play your original songs?

cause real instruments cost shit loads . and ipod is convenient because its portable and does the exact thing a real instrument can do for less money .

64 gig Ipod
$429.99

Drum kit
$440

http://www.long-mcquade.com/products/185/Drums/Acoustic/CB_Percussion/5_Piece_Drum_Kit_in_Black_with_Cymbals_Throne_and_ Hardware.htm

Guitar
$185

http://www.long-mcquade.com/products/1164/Guitars/Electric/Epiphone/Les_Paul_Special_II_-_Ebony.htm

Guitar amp
$135

http://www.long-mcquade.com/products/341/Guitars/Guitar_Amps/Traynor_Amplifiers/DynaGain_15_-_Guitar_Combo.htm

Midi Keyboard
$420

http://www.long-mcquade.com/products/1050/Keyboards/MIDI_Controllers_Drum_Machines/Akai/MPK49_USB_MIDI_Controller.htm

and those instruments will sound way better than an Ipod app. Those Ipod drums sound terrible. The Midi keyboard with some software let you make any sound you want and even has a set of drum pads.

Clearly you don't play any instruments. Ipods cannot replicate the sound of an experienced musician on their instrument of choice. I'll stick to my guitars and drum kit, thanks.

they're using their ipods because it is new and unique and the general population would probably find it entertaining.

obviously all those guys above have instruments. They wanted to try something different. It would be hard to set up drums guitars and amps on a subway. But, with their ipods they can do it. And if I were in that train car I would think it was pretty cool.

Instead of paying $429 for an Ipod and then an app just buy some buckets. It would be a lot cheaper and sound better.
