So I have a 5.1 speaker and my headset both connected to my computer (5.1 speaker is connected at the back of the computer and the headset is connected at the front). I am wondering is there a way for me to chose which audio output device I want to use at any given time.

Say when i am playing games I want to use my headset but when I am watching a movie I want to use my 5.1 speaker.

Because right now as soon as I have the headset connected it always use that.

I bet the front jack is just connected by a y cable to the back jack. So you can't control it via computer.

Your soundcard may have software installed that will detect headphones being plugged in. You can also right-click on the speaker icon, and then click Playback Devices. Select an output, and click Set Default.

Thx I find it. It is actually under my sound card icon and in some weird place.
