I guess using wheel lock nuts is a pretty good idea...

from the guy who took the pics:
True Story: As I drove up to this driveway to pick up the Mercedes for a Photoshoot, I see this.
3 cars on bricks, 1 house, all done the same night.
Real pros with big ball pulled this one off.

good reason to use lock nuts on your rims... could be avoided by just doing that.

I'm sure they did have lock nuts. Remember if a thief wants something that bad they will get it

yeah OEM locks are pretty easy to come by, an alarm is what you need, surprised the range didn't go off, you'd need to jack it quite high to get that wheel off

na, the best way to secure your wheels is to slam the car to half an inch off the ground,
only way to jack it up is to drive it on bricks first

damn such nice cars and house, shame.
this is why i had a tilt sensor added to my compustar, i think that's a pretty good setup, soon as anyone lifts the car 1 inch, alarm goes loco

I doubt the owners are even in the house. They should have surveillance cameras though.

yeah if they got that kinda of a ballin house you'd think they would have surveillance cams. but yeah what G-Spec said, add on a tilt sensor really helps

theres no way in hell they gonna be able to jack up the car when the wheel is 2" into the wheel well, and every jack point has less than a inch clearance
same goes with tow trucks :D

Theres no way they were parked all in different spots, with perfect backgrounds, when garages were available(possibly).

You wouldn't disturb a "crime scene" before photographing it for evidence.

Yea, I don't think a theft would be so careful about not to damage the brakes while stealing someone's properties.

Despite the ads in itself, wheel locks have been known to be a preventative measure when it comes to wheel theft. If thieves really wanted your wheels, I'm certain they'd take them regardless.
Unless of course, you have a wheel boot handy.
I'm sorry, when was theft stop being considered a crime?
All I'm saying is, moving shit around isn't gonna change anything. The police aren't going to look through bushes for evidence or get fingerprints off the lugnuts.

^ weight is distributed to the other three because of the driveway slope.
^ its something called SUSPENSION, unless it was an f1 car, i dont think a range would have stiff enough suspension for only 3 of the wheels to be like that.

you guys might be right, I donno.
won't be that hard to photshop the jacks out and put some bricks in, kinda like the opposite of what I did:
or they might be on bricks actually..... whatever.

Also don't those trucks drop to the ground when you park? Maybe that explains how it is possible for the front rotor to be barely touching. The bricks most likely came from the guys property if it is real, maybe the easiest ones to grab.
AND the bricks are at the perfect jack points on the Merc!
if I were gonna lower a car so as to be able to get my jack out from underneath, i'd definitely want to use the jacking points...................

depends on the slope of the driveway..... doesnt that range rover have the adjustable suspension as well? Maybe it was on the lowest setting? Less travel in strut....
I knwo what suspension is lol it was just an idea brah

i dont put anything past the adv1 owner jordan....
damn if you guys knew the full story on them, pretty interestingly shady stuff, it's all over the internet, the exotic forums and others as well.... everything is well documented..
and also the truth on the quality adv 1 wheels, lol, where to begin, just google adv1 and niche wheels together you'll crack up.
niche wheels are those cheap ebay $600 per set wheels, when you see some pictures members posted online of the inside of adv1's warehouse, you see a bunch of niche boxes, and some of the wheel designs are identical... anyway a lot of info available out there if yall are interested in posting, ive already done it here in another post

Locking lug nuts are only there for your own peace of mind, that's all. Any thief can defeat them with 2 simple tools anyone can buy from any hardware store, probably even walmart. It's like leaving a locked gym locker OUTSIDE a building and expecting it to not get robbed since it has a padlock on it....
If the pics look suspicious because the job is 'too clean' - the theft victim probably repositioned their vehicles using their own paving stones - no point leaving it half assed supported, because no thief is going to give two shits if it's stable or not when they drop it, they just want their jack back - so they just went through the process of stabilizing each vehicle (and adding the rag to protect the rotors) while they figure out what to do next
