I was driving around 3ish 4? Saw a big group on the side walk in front of the coffee shop (Blenz?). They were beating a drum, looked like a bunch of natives.

^ lol so true at least for the ones that do hang out outside blenz, one time I was buying a textbook and the seller wanted to meet in front of Blenz and I got there a bit earlier than planned so I was just waiting around and they were all staring me down, like relax I don't want your pregnant girlfriend or to start my own hacky sack circle.

It feels good that my fellow immigrants have such high respect for the indigenous people of this land.

They should keep it open. Keep at-risk youth doing things instead of hanging around the station and causing trouble ( There was a stabbing last Wednesday at the SE corner of the intersection. Pool of blood was still on the street, people were walking on it not knowing it was there  )

It feels good that my fellow immigrants have such high respect for the indigenous people of this land.
I actually support the Indigenous people of Canada and find it deplorable how often racism comes into factor when these types of situations arises (even seen in this thread).
But I am going to treat this not as a native issue but as a protest issue:
Why conduct a protest when it is not clearly visible what you are protesting about. Despite the fact the message is vague, they also go ahead and inconvience the very people they need support of (the general public). This will create a backlash that is recognized even here.

Seeing these protest is just another reminder that Critical Mass is fast approaching when sunny weather approaches :-(
Seriously, sometimes its just a nuisance on the roads.
