If anyone hasn't heard yet. Memory express will beat local retail competitors by 10% for the next few days.

Picked up some 2tb greens for only $67.50 after matching and beating ncix.

Interesting... their margins must be razor thin...

are they not doing that for online shops?

like - for Newegg.ca or something...?

InvisibleSoul

It's only available in-store...

!MiKrofT
02-24-2011, 12:13 PM
Yeah. Only in store. I also picked up a timeline 1830tz. List price $519. Ncix $499. After price beat was $449. He claims its below cost but he did it anyways. This is the most hassle free price match/beat I've ever got.

Only local places...

So NCIX, FS, BB, whatever else you can walk into.

wow! 10% is a great. Memory Express's customer service is decent. Also, there is no restocking fee ( while NCIX has it)

Yeah. The service was great. If only it wasn't so far from me. I didn't have to even try for the price beat. He instantly asked if I saw it for somewhere else cheaper; already had ncix homepage open on his screen lol.

Do they actually enforce the restocking? I've returned many things and have never been hit with a restocking fee.

I returned a video card (I opened it), and was charged 15% restocking fee.

Last time I took advantage of broadway camera's sale with the memory express 5% off made $200 selling a dslr + kit lens seperately lol.

Now would be a good time to upgrade to a 5d mk2 but I doubt they have it in stock.

Any consumer electronics worth taking a look at? They tend to not have the correct prices listed in store and they also don't show a lot of the products, it's a shame :(

I did the same with 2 different video cards and a power supplly. No restocking. Guess I'm lucky. Or they recognize that I'm a long term customer? Who knows.

I think they don't charge restocking fee anymore if it still looks new. They used to charge it regardless.

Good job for memory express...they really do offer way better customer service than NCIX and always go out of their way to make sure you leave their store happy.

^ Pretty sure they beat NCIX's prices.

However at that #.... umm yeah, I wouldn't have my hopes too high haha.
But it's worth a try. $44.99 X 0.9 = $40.49 that's selling for $79.99.....:fullofwin:

Yep, they do. No questions asked.

Too bad they're so low in selection on their big things like TV's. I guess they're trying to clear stock waiting for new items.

I don't believe they do web only orders. The item has to be in stock in a retail store ready to be purchased.

Probably not. There's not even an ETA for sandybridge replacements is there? I have one of the affected boards. Good thing ASUS is offering free replacements when product becomes available.

Guess I should fill in the online RMA form then haha. I hope the replacements are pretty much the same board but with the revisions.
