I would've gone but two things changed my mind. 1. The weather...and 2. the Olympic anniversary stuff that happened a couple weeks ago wasn't great. It would've been no fun at all probably if I did go with some RS folks.

Posted this in photo lab, but not a lot of you go there.

Police were present, but didn't bother enforcing much unless it was serious. Saw lots of beer and alcohol consumed openly on the skytrain and on the streets. Boomboxes everywhere, surprised the snow didn't damage any of them.

I'd say there were a few thousand out. It was the most densely packed on Granville between Robson and Georgia - that's where all the boomboxes were - and the crowds grew more sparse as I walked away from that stretch of road. Definitely more packed than K-Dub's photos depict (sick photos, btw!).

I couldn't get a good vantage point to get a good overview of the crowd, but it was packed. Walking into the crowd meant being pushed or elbowed immediately. Barely any walking space along the edges of the street.

We're not leaving you downtown to sit on this chair! Let's go!
