Fastest Passport Renewal Office

I remember someone telling me a long time ago that the Richmond Passport office is the fastest in terms of renewing your passport (i.e. shortest lineup and if you're not using the Urgent/Express service). Is this still true?

TIA.

Was there 2 weeks ago on a Monday, lineup was fairly quick. 2 workers will check all your info application before submitting you a number.
Then waited about 20-25 mins to hand in the application form and speak to another rep.

Parking is now $3.25/hr and only accepts credit card. Think there was 15-20 parking stalls.

But remember when passport is ready, you still have to go downtown office.

Good luck!

I was just at the DT one (Sinclair centre) at 8am today. Took my gf 12 minutes to renew her passport.

I think the whole passport line up thing is over by now.

I got my passport renewed at Richmond back in December, took me like 10-15min in and out. Granted i did go when it was near closing and it was completely dead.

Passport came in the mail about a week later.

the whole passport lineup craze is long over... else I'd still have my job
It was mostly sparked by the US announcing that all forms of travel must be accompanied with a Passport (it used to be that you could carry your Drivers' License and a birth certificate and you will be fine)

They are all the same now, Richmond, Sinclair, Surrey etc... max lineup from what my ex-coworkers at sinclair tell me is about 1 hour at around noon time. otherwise it's pretty manageable

I was in Surrey a while ago and it was still crazy waits there. Much better if you go first thing in the morning on like a Tuesday - Thurs though.

My wife was out of the Surrey location in 20 mins today, but I've heard the one DT is consistently the quickest.

I was at the Richmond office in late January and it took 20-25 mins to renew my passport. I parked at Lansdowne.

You guys renewing your passports now have it lucky. When I renewed mine years ago, the wait was excruciating. Over 1.5 hours of waiting in the Richmond location. Ugh.

+1, very fast 10-20 minute wait, 10 minute conversation, and was mailed within a week.
Downtown is generally packed and parking is killer 0.0

Richmond location, in and out 15 minutes total.

Then about 1.5 weeks for it to arrive at my home.

Funny thing how they operate but if you pickup in person, theres a charge of $10...but if mailed to you, no extra charge.

For me, I rather pay and pickup myself if somethings important...not really trusting delivery ever since some documents were "lost" many years ago.

Just went down to DT yesterday for pickup...second in line.

I'd say go to the downtown waterfront location. Pretty fast, and it's sent back to you in around 1.5-2 weeks. If you pick up, it's an extra 10$ or something - which is pretty stupid IMO.
