found a few tweaks yesterday, pretty self explanatory. just throw them into the target line of the shorcut;
+r_MotionBlur=0
+g_skipIntro=1
+r_glow=0
+i_mouse_smooth=0
+r_PostMSAA=0

Forum reviews aren't so good. They make it sound very console-like.
I'll just play magicka in the mean time, portal 2 soon, and SC2 will hold me over until Battlefield 3 comes out.

2 days (4 hours or so?) on the super solider mode. Beautiful game. Worth buying IMO. Spent a lot of time in cloak mode, otherwise very difficult. :lol: Oh, and I m on PS3.

Today is the last day, get this and Lego Starwar 3 and save $40 ($20 cash + $20 Bestbuy points).

Apparently, as far as story goes, this one has very little connection to the first one. You should be okay. Just know this: suit = good.

Don't get me wrong, its a solid title. It's just that DA1 was just way more superior and the repetitive dungeons are getting to me. :(

Beautiful game so far indeed! Even on medium settings (it's a shame it's choppy on maxed out settings on my laptop though :().

Finished Crysis 1 a couple of days ago. The game was okay, though the story was nothing too great at all. If you're worried about skipping part I, just read up the story on Wikipedia before jumping in on Crysis 2 and you should be fine :D

i just picked up crysis 2, haven't played the 1st one... i really hate it.... the controls are ok.. but the malee attack is just gay. I'm on PS3 and dude, i'm extremely pissed off at the game. The AI are not dumb but there are A LOT of glitches in the game. they would just stand at a corner and it turns out you have to kill the last dude, who is just standing at a corner due to a glitch. The map is pretty big and that's great but man i do not need the cpu to tell me each time i've switched on the cloak.

-cloak. yes, you get to be invisible, but man, you can literally finish half of hte game just being in cloak and being invisible.

- lack of story. the story is a tad gay and what's with the non existent cut scenes. i mean there are tons of games out there with OK game play but with amazing story, this one clearly did not have a decent story. I enjoy games with great stories and this one clearly was not one of them. I'm assuming crysis 1 had a great story about the suit? The reviews says there ending is great so i'm going to have to wait. OH, the story is based out of NY city, as much as "oh WOW, it's NY" I didn't think it was that epic being set in NY at all.

- check points. it's really lacking, there are places where you would die a lot and you would have to start over. PC vs console, aside from graphics...

I did like the more than one path of travel. It's big enough yet not too big (but i don't need them to say Tactical options available every single time). COD is just epic gay when it's the same same same location and same people hiding (which is getting a bit gay and repetitive). The AI does come and find you in Crysis 2 and a bit smarter once you don't use cloak; there are tons of ammunition everywhere but the lack of weapons really did it for me. You don't get the wow factor no more when you pick up a new weapon. You pretty much can finish the entire game with just 1 gun. Console check points are epic gay in my opinion so I'll give props on how PC is so much more awesome-er.

i played their ONLINE and man it sucks. i do suck but when you have everyone cloaking and stuff, you did A LOT and fast.

I just beat the game and it is easily the top 5 fps i've played so far. The graphics are amazing and the different play-styles (cloak or run and gun) and the wide open spaces that are a far cry from the corridor shooting i am use to.

The story is a piece of shit though.

There is no way to tweek any settings, just low, medium, high, every high, and extreme IIRC

Is it better to run Advanced @ 1680 x 1050 or Hardcore @ 1920 x 1080?

I've got a GTX460 768mb with Phenom X4 955, 4GB....reading the benchmark I don't think I can run hardcore @ 1920 x 1080..


btw, how do I show frame rate in crysis 2 ?(w/o 3rd party software)
