Hey all, parents as well as my sister and her bf are coming over to visit on the weekend; all of us including my gf are going out for dinner. Any suggestions on a casual dining restaurant (not too pricey either) in Van or Richmond?

Gimme a budget and what you want to eat.
Grub and Les Faux Borgeoise are my staples.

Chop if you're in richmond, its casual but it's dark in there. it's one of the few places that it's in richmond.
there's dt and there's a lot of places at downtown / gastown
eg// labattoir, mcleans, cork and fin,

les faux bourgeois is more of a date spot imo

Chop is meh. Really hit or miss in my opinion.
Sandbar or The Keg? Not sure if they are too expensive.

you really need to provide a price range
when you mentioned casual western restaurants, the first places i thought of were ricky's, white spot and ihop.
Burgoo on Main Street is great.
beachside forno
