Hey guys i'm not sure if this was posted before but let me know if it's a repost!

It's a lot of pictures of Vancouver way back in the early 1900s

The thumbnails do not do any of these pictures any justice. You've got to right click and view all sizes and click one of the larger ones. They're pretty awesome.

Here are a few:

Vancouver was awesome back in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Then someone thought it would be great to hold a world expo to show off the city. Been going down hill since. Should have kept this part of the world a secret.

Someone should have spread a rumour that Richmond is not the eye of a dragon, but the penis of the devil. Could we have promoted Calgary better?

Then our RS population would be down by 90%

No Jing Wu's and the like............. now wouldn't that be sad?

Those racist gangstas in Richmond won't have any messages to spray. They may have to find something else to do. No C-Lai's, too. Life would be hella boring.............

Vancouver easily ranks as the best place in the WORLD, and if it isn't one year, it always in the top 10

I live in Calgary, and I would never be able to compare it to home...plus you have any idea how cold it gets here? You guys get severe weather warnings at like -10 with windchill lol....Calgary will get -30, and then add the windchill factor - you don't want to know! It was the coldest place on the PLANET for one day this winter. It's -21 as I type this. No way anyone would want to promote a place like this, it's a frozen wasteland in the winter

It's a dry cold up there though. Gear up and it isn't so cold...

for 30-60 minutes. then the balls will start freezing.

Humidity means nothing when there's windchill and it's already 20 or 30 below, it's absolutely brutal

Back on topic though, I had a laugh looking at the picture of the Vancouver Police force back in the day. They should do a side by side comparison to today lol, the firepower the modern police force brings is devastating, they're so much more beefed up now

HEAR, HEAR!!! Also those assholes who thought having the Olympics in the city would be a good idea should be sent to rural Nunavut.

Then our RS population would be down by 90%

More importantly, in the 40s-70s, when we needed to build a bridge, the mutherfucker got BUILT. There wasn't a million whiny bitches complaining about this or that.

Now we need to jump through flaming hoops made of kryptonite just to ask permission to talk about building a bridge or widening a road, and when we finally agree to build it, it costs 200x more than it should, and then some loser cancels the whole idea and decides to build a bike lane instead.

pardon my ignorance but isn't there a huge ass hill on granville/37? based on the location of the mountains, it looks like the horizontal road going across the picture is granville st, yet the terrain looks completely flat.
