Honestly, how can anyone be so stupid. In the news article is says "It is believed the 36-year-old daughter accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake." If you realize your car is accelerating, wouldn't it make sense to step on the other pedal. Like come on, how long has this stupid cunnt been driving. Honestly, can't tell the difference between the gas and brake pedal. If she is that stupid, she should be banned driving for life.
Now, I wonder if she's going to get jail time. She did kill someone. Even though the media suggests it was an accident. Maybe there's another side to the story on how it happened.

This is one of those cases. Probably a case of wet shoes and slippery pedals
How dumb would you feel if you caused the death of your mother by running over her? So tragic. That lady is gonna need SERIOUS psychiatric help

to imply that the victims were good people and that the daughter probably didn't do it on purpose

+1. if you watch Canada's Wost Driver, you would be surprised at the dumbness of people on the roads.

It's like that whole Toyota fiasco with cars accelerating out of control. All the incidents were found to be driver error. One thing I've learned about our population is to not give it too much credit. Stupid people are out there, and there's a lot of them.

Some people are just bad when it comes to stuff like this.
We had a company go-kart event last week, and one of the women does have a driver's license, but she had the hardest time trying to adjust to the fact that braking in the go-kart is with the left foot...

I thought Canada's Worst Driver is fake??.. how is it even possible for those people to pass the drivers license exams?... (unless the people on Canada's worst drivers, dont actually have their licences)

How do people in Richmond pass the drivers license exams?

She drove through the wall of her house? I dont understand how that happens. If you are leaving ur house, u would have the car in reverse and slowly back up, not slam on the pedal.
If you're coming into your garage, wouldn't you be driving kind of slowly...not flooring it? And when you go to stop, do u just automatically stomp the brake pedal to the floor?
I dunno, maybe I'm doing something wrong...I just make sure I press the pedal that I painted red when I want to stop...works for me

Really? ALL the incidents? More like most of them. Or would you call a floor mat or sticking throttle pedal "driver error"?
Unfortunately in this case the driver error would be compounded by the fact this particular Land Rover has very poor pedal placement making it much easier to hit the wrong pedal.
And I doubt she had time to hit the brakes. If you hit the gas 10 feet from the wall you're going to hit the wall no matter how fast you slam on the brakes.

She obviously thought flooring it through the house would get her to the kitchen quickly.

You can bet that the driver who did this will gladly voluntarily take herself off the road for a long time, if not forever. Very stupid and unfortunate accident.

What's scary to me is that I'd bet she'll be on the road in under 2 weeks.

People with automatics should brake with left foot and gas with right foot :troll:
But people get their rights and lefts mixed up too, right?

LoL... yeah, I know, right... and she doesn't stay in the kitchen like she's supposed to either!
But yeah... I'm the more conservative one, so I got an extremely practical car. Prior to the MR2 Spyder, my wife had an RX-8. And she rode a Ninja for a few years. And she has a gun license.
