Just in case you guys didn't know or forgot. Clocks go an hour ahead tonight.

http://toronto.about.com/od/civicscityservices/f/timechange.htm

Time Change in the Spring
On the second Sunday in March daylight saving time begins and the clocks "spring forward" one hour. This happens at 2am, so you should change your clocks by moving the time one hour ahead before going to bed on Saturday evening.

Sunday March 13, 2011

Er... don't we lose an hour in the spring time, and gain it back in the fall? So at 2am on Nov 4th, our clocks change back to 1am?

^ I remember it used to be before Halloween, but corporations were like, "We can make bank by making Halloween a little longer" in 2007 I think?

Whatever, keeps it lighter, longer for another week. Getting out of class when it's already dark is depressing.

Sucks for the graveyard shift workers... have to work an extra hour!

10-29-2012, 10:53 AM
I woke up this morning, looked at my clock, and it said 7:15, but it was friggin' dark out. I thought I bumped my clock an hour ahead when I set my alarm the night before. I confirmed the time was correct, so I ,begrudgingly, got up. I opened up Revscene, and saw this thread, and I was so excited I crapped myself, which worked out because I was on the can, but then another round of disappointment as I continued to read that the time change was happening next week. Honestly, does anyone really notice the difference anymore? Now that all our electronics changes it automatically. You wake up and see ... oh it's 7:30 am, regular morning alarm ... time to get up.

I certainly notice it when I feel like killing myself after the sun going down at 3pm for a month.

not my microwave
not my oven
not my grandfather clock
not my coffee machine

my alarm clock does change automatically, but it changes back in October, to the old pre-2007 date.

It's always the stove and microwave that throws me off because I use them for reference from time to time and they give me conflicting information from my cell and computer.

gave up setting the clocks on the stove and microwave. I just leave them blinking at 12:00 or nothing.

The good: I can watch wrestling and prime time football at 9am now instead of 8am

The bad: If I want to watch live 1pm games, they start at 2am now. Still worth

Cue seasonal depression in t-minus 12 hours...

2 weeks ago I got a HappyLight from Amazon a company called Verilux makes it... I noticed a massive difference just having it on next to me for 30 minutes... get more alert/awake feeling and less down.
