i been trying to figure this out for the last 3 hours and have no luck.

i tried greenpoison,blackra1n with no luck.

just updated to 4.2.1 and the phones restored

now all i need to do is figure out what program i can use to jailbreak

when i tried using greenposion it was asking me to locate the ISPW and i had no idea what or where it was

The current greenpoison is only for 3GS and newer models...

Use the above method with redsnow. I just updated a 3G to 4.2.1 and used redsnow, worked great!
